Description

Gear Shift Module (GSM) Tester is a diagnostic and repair tool for the rotary gear selector module. The plastic fastener inside the GSM is prone to breaking, which disables the module; this kit supplies durable metal fasteners to repair it and lets the module be checked off the vehicle.

Once repaired, the tester verifies GSM operation without refitting it to the vehicle, avoiding unnecessary reassembly. It identifies the vehicle model automatically and adjusts module position and gear selection through single-button operation. Typical GSM failure symptoms include the selector dial failing to rise, lower or rotate, and fault code P176C-11 (Transmission Range Selector Lock Control Error).

This kit includes the main tester, a combined 12-pin and 22-pin cable, and two lifting gear levers.
