This grille functions within the cold air intake adaptor arrangement, providing a protective interface at the intake entry point while maintaining airflow into the induction system. Used across intake configurations including Td5 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo diesel applications, 2.8L 6-cylinder petrol (BMW M52) systems, and later intake system variants, where it integrates within the intake housing structure ahead of the air filter element and associated ducting.
