Description

Bonnet Gas Strut – a pressurised gas-filled damper forming part of the bonnet support system.

Mounted between the bonnet and the body, it counterbalances the weight of the bonnet, raising it smoothly and holding it securely in the open position. As the internal gas charge depletes over time the strut gradually loses its ability to support the bonnet; replacement restores safe, reliable holding and controlled lifting.
