Bolt 5/16″ UNF x 2″ is a hex-head set bolt with a 5/16-inch Unified National Fine (UNF) thread at 24 threads per inch and a 2-inch shank length.

It is used as an engine and general chassis fixing where a fine-pitch imperial thread is specified. The fine UNF pitch resists vibration loosening better than a coarse-thread equivalent of the same diameter, which suits it to fastening points subject to running vibration.
