Description

Power Steering Pump is the engine-driven hydraulic pump at the heart of the power-assisted steering circuit on the 300 TDi 2.5L turbo diesel.

Belt-driven from the engine, the pump draws fluid from the reservoir and delivers it under pressure to the steering box, where the internal control valve uses that pressure to reduce the effort needed to turn the road wheels. An integral pressure-relief valve caps the pump’s output to protect the circuit at full lock.

The pump body carries the reservoir feed connection and the high-pressure outlet union that runs to the steering box.
