Description

Aluminium Sealing Washer is a soft metal crush washer fitted under a threaded plug or fitting to form a leak-tight joint.

When the bolt or plug is torqued, the soft aluminium deforms to fill minor surface irregularities between the fastener head and its seat, sealing against fluid leakage. It is commonly used on sump and gearbox drain plugs and other threaded oil and fluid fittings, and is intended for renewal each time the joint is disturbed.
