Description

Starter Motor Solenoid for the Lucas 2M100 starter motor, part of the engine starting circuit.

Mounted on the starter body, the solenoid throws the drive pinion into mesh with the flywheel ring gear and closes the high-current contacts that feed the starter motor windings when the ignition switch is operated. Fitted to 2.25L and 2.5L petrol applications; the companion starter motor is RTC5233E.
