Suppressor Capacitor mounted at the ignition coil as part of the ignition system.

It suppresses the radio-frequency interference generated by the coil’s primary switching, preventing that electrical noise from being conducted into the vehicle’s audio and electrical circuits. Fitted to V8 petrol applications running a coil-and-distributor ignition.
