Copper Washer is a soft sealing washer used to form a leak-tight metal seal at a threaded or banjo union.

Positioned between a bolt or fitting and its mating face, the copper deforms under tightening torque to fill surface imperfections and seal the joint against fluid or gas pressure. As a crush-type seal it is intended for single use and should be renewed whenever the joint is disturbed.
