Description

Locating Dowel for the flywheel-to-crankshaft joint, part of the crankshaft and flywheel assembly.

Pressed into the crankshaft rear flange, the dowel fixes the angular position of the flywheel against the crankshaft so it seats in its balanced orientation before the retaining bolts are torqued. Used across the 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines up to the 300 Tdi.
