Description

Flasher Unit is the 3-pin relay in the direction indicator circuit that switches the turn signal lamps on and off at a regular rate.

Wired between the indicator switch and the turn signal lamps, it interrupts the 12-volt feed to generate the flashing signal and drive the tell-tale. Its three terminals carry the supply feed, the switched output to the lamps, and the pilot/tell-tale connection. The flash rate is load-dependent, so a failed bulb shows as a change in flashing speed.
