Mainshaft Gear – 1st Speed is a 29-tooth first-speed gear that runs on the mainshaft within the manual gearbox gear train.

As a non-synchronised constant-mesh gear, it is engaged by sliding dog engagement rather than through a synchroniser hub, providing the lowest forward ratio when meshed with its corresponding layshaft gear.

This gear supersedes the earlier part number 217387.
