Rocker Shaft Bush in the cylinder head valvetrain.

The bush is pressed into a rocker pedestal and provides the bearing surface that supports the rocker shaft, allowing the rocker arms to pivot as the pushrods open and close the valves. Fitted to the 2.25L and 2.5L 4-cylinder overhead-valve petrol engine. Worn bushes allow the shaft to move and reduce oil pressure to the rocker gear, so they are renewed as a set when the rocker assembly is overhauled.
