Tailgate Release Switch – micro-switch assembly fitted within the tailgate release mechanism. When operated, the switch provides the electrical signal to trigger the tailgate latch release, allowing the tailgate to be opened.

The assembly mounts within the tailgate handle assembly and interfaces with the body electrical system’s tailgate release circuit.
