Water Detector senses water that has collected in the fuel filter within the fuel filtration assembly.

Diesel fuel carries water that the filter separates and holds in its base. When the accumulated water reaches the detector, it signals the engine management system to warn the driver that the filter needs draining, protecting the injection system from water ingress.
