Description

Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor monitors exhaust gas temperature within the diesel after-treatment system, mounted in the exhaust line at the catalyst and diesel particulate filter.

It sends a temperature signal to the engine ECU, which uses the reading to control diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration and to protect the catalyst and DPF from thermal overload. Fitted to 2.7L and 3.0L V6 diesel engines equipped with a DPF.
