Description

Front Propshaft – the propeller shaft that forms part of the four-wheel-drive driveline, connecting the Intermediate Reduction Drive (IRD) unit output to the viscous coupling unit.

It transmits rotational drive from the IRD unit rearward to the viscous coupling, which in turn drives the rear axle. The shaft locates on the IRD output flange at its forward end, with a universal joint at each end to accommodate driveline movement.
