Description

Main Bearing Set – the crankshaft main bearing shells for the EFi V8 petrol engine (4.0L and 4.6L), supplied in the 0.010 in (0.254 mm) regrind grade.

The shells locate in the cylinder block main bearing saddles and caps and carry the crankshaft. Being thicker than the standard-size shells, they restore correct running clearance on a crankshaft whose main journals have been reground 0.010 in undersize; they are not a substitute for the standard set on an unmachined crankshaft.

Confirm the actual journal sizes and measure running clearance during assembly.
