Description

Piston Assembly for the 2.5L 200 TDi turbo diesel, forming part of the piston and connecting-rod assembly within the cylinder block.

The piston travels in the cylinder bore and transfers combustion pressure to the connecting rod and crankshaft. It carries the piston rings that seal the combustion chamber and control the oil film on the bore wall.

This is a +0.020″ oversize piston, dimensioned for a cylinder block that has been rebored 0.020 inch over standard during an engine overhaul. The oversize must match the reconditioned bore diameter.
