Description

Piston for the 2.25L four-cylinder petrol engine, machined to +0.030″ oversize for a rebored cylinder block.

The piston runs in the cylinder bore and transmits combustion pressure through the gudgeon pin and connecting rod to the crankshaft. The oversize dimension restores the correct piston-to-bore clearance once the block has been rebored 0.030″ during an engine rebuild.
