Description

Contact Set for the ignition distributor of the 3.5L V8 petrol engine. The contact breaker points open and close the primary circuit to the ignition coil, timing the spark delivered to each cylinder.

This is the non-sliding (fixed) contact set, distinct from the sliding-contact type. It mounts on the distributor baseplate and works alongside the condenser, which suppresses arcing across the points as they open.
