Carburettor Overhaul Kit – service kit for the Weber twin-choke carburettor fitted to the 2.25L and 2.5L four-cylinder petrol engines.

The kit is intended for a full carburettor rebuild rather than a partial repair: the carburettor is removed, stripped, cleaned and reassembled with fresh sealing and wear components so that fuel metering, idle stability and mixture control are restored to specification. It covers the carburettor variants used with both electric and mechanical fuel pump installations.

Symptoms that call for an overhaul include fuel weeping at the body joints, flooding, an unstable or unobtainable idle, hesitation under load, and fuel consumption that has drifted upward without an ignition fault to account for it – all typically traceable to a worn needle valve or hardened, shrunken gaskets. Carburettor setting and mixture adjustment must be carried out after reassembly.
