Front Halfshaft – Left Hand for the early Discovery 1, transmitting drive from the front differential to the left-hand front swivel housing.

The halfshaft runs through the front axle tube, with its inner end splined into the differential side gear and its outer end splined into the Birfield constant velocity joint inside the swivel housing. This assembly transfers torque to the wheel hub while accommodating the full range of steering lock and axle articulation. Applies to vehicles up to VIN JA032850.
