Spring Isolator – Front, Upper for the front coil spring in the suspension.

The isolator is the elastomer pad that sits between the top of the front coil spring and its upper seat. It locates the end of the spring and cushions it against the seat, preventing metal-to-metal contact and damping the noise and vibration that would otherwise transmit into the body. A perished or missing isolator allows the spring to knock against its seat.
