Description

Blanking Plug – a threaded plug that seals an unused port or aperture in an engine casting or housing.

It closes off a threaded opening not required in a given configuration, maintaining a fluid-tight seal in the oil or coolant circuit. Applications include the oil cooler and oil filter assembly of the Td5 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo diesel and the water pump of the 2.4L Duratorq-TDCi Puma diesel.
