Alternator Drive Belt – 2322mm polyvee (multi-rib) belt from the accessory drive of the V8 EFI petrol engine.

The belt is driven off the crankshaft pulley and turns the alternator, transmitting engine rotation to the charging circuit. The 2322mm length corresponds to the accessory drive layout used on air-conditioned engines; belt length must match the pulley configuration exactly or correct tension cannot be set.

Polyvee construction places multiple longitudinal ribs on the driving face, seating in the matching grooves of the crankshaft, alternator and idler pulleys for a large contact area and stable running under load. Replace when the ribs show cracking, glazing, chunking or material loss, and check the idler and tensioner pulley bearings at the same time.
