Brake Pressure Reducing Valve – a control valve in the brake hydraulic circuit.

It limits the hydraulic pressure delivered to the rear brakes so that, under heavy braking, the rear wheels do not lock up before the front. This balances front-to-rear braking effort and helps the vehicle stay stable when stopping hard.
