High Mounted Stop Lamp is the centre high-mounted stop lamp within the rear lighting assembly, positioned above the main rear lamp clusters.

It illuminates together with the brake lamps when the footbrake is applied, providing an additional raised brake signal in the driver’s line of sight of following traffic. It is wired into the brake lighting circuit.
