Description

Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor mounted in the air intake tract, downstream of the air cleaner.

It measures the mass of air drawn into the engine and signals the engine control module, which uses the reading to meter fuel delivery and set injection timing for the correct air-fuel ratio. A contaminated or drifting MAF signal can cause poor running, reduced power and raised emissions.
