Description

A/C Receiver Dryer Assembly for the air conditioning refrigerant circuit. It sits on the high-pressure liquid side, downstream of the condenser and upstream of the expansion valve.

The receiver dryer stores liquid refrigerant and uses an internal desiccant to draw residual moisture out of the system, preventing internal corrosion and the formation of acids and ice at the expansion valve. An integral filter screen traps debris before the refrigerant reaches the metering orifice. Replacement is recommended whenever the circuit has been opened or a major component has been renewed.
