Description

Engine Tie Rod forms part of the powertrain mounting system, working alongside the engine mounts.

This lower tie rod restrains fore-and-aft movement of the engine and gearbox under acceleration and braking, tying the powertrain to the vehicle structure to control engine rock and reduce driveline vibration. Used with the M47 2.0L four-cylinder diesel (automatic transmission) and the 2.5L KV6 petrol engine.
