Description

Crankcase Breather Valve for the crankcase ventilation system of the 4.4L V8 petrol and 4.2L supercharged V8 petrol engines. It regulates the flow of crankcase blow-by gases drawn from the engine back into the intake tract.

By metering these gases so they are recirculated and re-burned in the combustion chambers, the valve controls crankcase pressure and forms part of the engine’s emission control. A failed valve can disturb the idle, raise oil consumption or create pressure-related oil leaks.
