Description

Clutch Cover – 4.0 V8 is the pressure plate assembly in the clutch system.

The clutch cover bolts to the flywheel and clamps the clutch driven plate between its pressure plate face and the flywheel surface. It houses the diaphragm spring that provides clamping force, and releases that force when the clutch pedal is depressed via the release bearing acting on the spring fingers. Correct clamping force and spring geometry are critical to smooth clutch engagement. Specified for the 4.0L V8 petrol engine application.
