Description

Rear Crankshaft Packing Strip (T-Piece) forms part of the rear crankshaft oil seal arrangement at the back of the cylinder block.

The T-piece packing seals the vertical side joints between the rear main bearing cap and the block, working alongside the rear crankshaft seal to prevent oil escaping from the rear of the crankcase. Used on the four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines and the 200TDi and 300TDi units.
