Description

Piston Cooling Oil Jet Relief Valve – part of the engine lubrication system, fitted in the cylinder block oil feed to the piston cooling jets. It regulates the oil supply to those jets, opening above a set oil pressure so that oil is sprayed against the underside of the pistons to cool them.

Specified for the 2.5L diesel engines, including the 200 TDi and 300 TDi. It is distinct from the main oil pump pressure relief valve.
