Description

Main Bearing Cap Bolt for the 2.5L Td5 five-cylinder diesel engine. This bolt clamps a main bearing cap to the cylinder block, retaining the crankshaft main bearing shells and setting the main bearing bore.

It is a high-load fastener in the bottom end of the block, tightened to a torque-plus-angle specification, and is renewed whenever the main bearing caps are disturbed.
