Description

Head Gasket Seals the cylinder head to the cylinder block on the pre-TDi 2.25L and 2.5L naturally aspirated and turbocharged diesel engines.

It contains combustion pressure in each cylinder while sealing the coolant and oil passages that cross the head-to-block joint, maintaining compression and preventing cross-leakage between the combustion chambers, water jacket and oil galleries. It is not interchangeable with the later 200 TDi and 300 TDi head gaskets.
