Description

Blanking Plug – Metric – Cylinder Head Rear seals the rear coolant gallery opening in the cylinder head on Land Rover 4-cylinder engines.

The rear face of the cylinder head has a machined coolant passage that is closed during manufacture with this metric blanking plug. It prevents coolant loss from the head casting and maintains the integrity of the engine cooling circuit. Replacement is required if the plug corrodes, weeps, or is disturbed during a cylinder head overhaul.

For use on 4-cylinder petrol and non-TDi diesel engines, including the 2.25L petrol, 2.25L diesel, 2.5L petrol, 2.5L naturally aspirated diesel, and 2.5L turbo diesel variants.
