Description

Oil Cooler Thermostat Adaptor for the 2.5L 200 TDi and 300 TDi diesel engines, mounted on the oil filter housing within the oil cooler and filter assembly.

The adaptor carries the wax-element (Waxstat) thermostat that regulates oil flow to the engine oil cooler by temperature: oil is routed through the cooler once it reaches operating temperature and bypassed while still cold, helping to stabilise oil temperature and pressure. It seals to the filter housing with O-ring ERC5913.
