Power Steering Pump – Hobourn-type hydraulic pump serving the power-assisted steering circuit on V8 engines. It is driven from the crankshaft by a V-belt and generates the hydraulic pressure that operates the steering assistance.

The pump draws fluid from the reservoir and delivers pressurised flow to the steering box valve, reducing the effort needed at the steering wheel. This is the earlier V-belt drive pump, distinct from the later serpentine-belt type.
