Description

Nut Plate is a captive threaded plate used in the rear end door latch assembly, providing the fixed threads onto which the tailgate latch mechanism is fastened.

Mounted behind the door skin, it holds the threaded points in place so the latch can be bolted down and retained where a free nut could not otherwise be held during assembly. This keeps the latch securely located for consistent operation of the rear door catch.
