Description

Exhaust Manifold Stud secures the manifold to the cylinder head on the 4-cylinder engine.

It threads into the head and carries the manifold flange and nut, holding the gasket joint under the thermal cycling and vibration of the exhaust system. Studs in this location are routinely renewed when corroded or seized during manifold removal.

Fit with a high-temperature anti-seize compound and tighten the manifold nuts evenly to the specified torque.
