Description

Split Pin used on a front-axle assembly to lock a castellated nut. The pin passes through the drilled fastener and the slots of the nut, and its legs are splayed apart to stop the nut backing off under vibration.

It is a single-use locking item, renewed whenever the joint it secures is disturbed. This split pin forms part of fitting kit STC8573.
