Description

Wheel Cylinder for the drum brake assembly – the left-hand hydraulic slave cylinder that operates the brake shoes. The same cylinder serves either the front or rear position.

Fed by the brake line from the master cylinder, the cylinder’s pistons move outward under hydraulic pressure to press the shoes against the drum, then retract as the pressure releases. A leaking or seized cylinder produces a soft pedal, fluid loss or a dragging brake, and is renewed as a complete unit.
